Distributed Protection and Control System
A modular Protection and Control system based on protection devices and merging units.
Substation secondary circuits (CT, VT transformers, feeder switches, circuit breakers, etc.) are traditionally connected to the merging units with copper wires.
Further, the merging and protection units communicate with each other and with the SCADA system via Ethernet networks made in fiber optic technology.
