Relay UTXvD

UTXvD is an overcurrent, earth fault and field controller protection.
The basis for reliable operation of the protection is precise and fast measurement of voltages and currents with simultaneous calculation of the distance to the fault location (option only for UTXvD/8, UTXvD/10).
UTXvD series 3 protection is available in the following versions:

  • D/4 – version with four analog inputs (IL1, IL2, IL3, U4 (EU));
  • D/8 – version with eight analog inputs (IL1,IL2,IL3,IE, UL1,UL2,UL3,U4 (UE/Ub)), in this version the functions of voltage stages, power, energy measurement and auto-reclose 1 and 3 are available phase;
  • D/10 – version with ten analog inputs (IL1,IL2,IL3,IE,IE2, UL1,UL2,UL3,U4(UE),Usync), in this version the functions of voltage stages, power, energy measurement and auto-reclose 1 are available and 3 phase;

Characteristics of the UTXvD

  • a multi-processor digital measurement and decision-making system with four groups of protection settings;
  • galvanic separation of individual inputs and outputs (analog and digital);
  • 85/77/27WI – optionally with a unified teleprotection interface, with “weak” power supply logic and “echo” function;

  • 67N – two-stage, directional earth-fault protection: (IEk1>T and IEk2>T) with rectangular and cosinusoidal angular characteristics and various time characteristics;
  • 50N/51N – non-directional earth-fault protection with different time characteristics;
  • 50BF/51BF – LRW circuit breaker reserve system (programmable current and time conditions);
  • handling external emergency shutdown requests (trip with short circuit report and LRW support);
  • 74/74TC – station signaling functions UP, AL, AW;
  • constant control of the continuity of circuit breaker tripping circuits;
  • 27/59 – under- and over-voltage stages;
  • 46/47 – signaling of current and voltage asymmetry;
  • functions of “cooperation” with the switch, along with its remote control;
  • 32 logical functions with programmable modifiers to implement simple and complex algorithms;
  • detailed reporting of the short-circuit clearing process, i.e.: event and disturbance recording (4 (1) voltages, 4 (3) currents and 16 digital channels with a sampling time of 1 ms) with the possibility of internal or external activation of the recorder; binary inputs provide a chronological record of protection operation and tripping;
  • time synchronization and synchronous sampling of analog inputs;
  • possibility of summing the values of short-circuit currents switched off by the circuit breaker;
  • power measurement, energy meters (four-quadrant) (D/8, D/8A);
  • WZ shutdown counters and device operating times;
  • graphic display and 11-button keyboard and 16 LEDs (15 freely programmable);
  • reading the measurement values and the conclusion report on the display and transmitting them to the superior system;
  • permanent control of the device’s internal systems;
  • three password-protected permission levels;
  • possibility of visualization, control and configuration via the SAZ 2000 program;
  • possibility of cooperation with the Automatic Over Ethernet (AoE) station automation system and the Alice’79 system;
  • 85 – possibility of implementing automation between stations using the TRBus transmission channel (option).
